photography by ED and DEANNA TEMPLETON
Husband and wife team Ed and Deanna Templeton have spent their adult lives in Los Angeles involved in skateboarding: making skateboards, taking pictures of skaters, and making art. Since the ’90s their photography has captured the essence of LA’s youth culture and the city’s rise as the skate capital of the world. This selection of their latest pictures shows how skating is more than a lifestyle; it’s a separate reality. Some skate, the rest don’t.
