During the nineties Mark Borthwick was one of Purple Fashion’s most valued photographers. Then, he stopped shooting fashion pictures — for five years! Now he’s back with this story about some of his favorite designers, which he shot here and there during trips with friends, musicians, and artists from his entourage. Refusing to go digital, Mark Borthwick still uses film cameras to capture natural light that burns the negative until it hurts the eyes.
