RICHARD PRINCE works with American iconography, deconstructing the ideology of freedom, escape and fun — cars, bikers, After Dark novels, Marlboro advertising, jokes, basketball hoops… For this Visual Essay he photographed his studio in Upstate New York, and included two GIRLS NEXT DOOR and TERRY RICHARDSON, thereby adding them to his lexicon of American standards.
