“Les Parisiens en vacances,” by Mira Saadallah

MIRA SAADALLAH — Les parisiens en vacances was imagined around the idea of a contrast between the unchangeable architecture of Paris and its citizens. The point is that architecture stays through time, buildings are the remaining witnesses of a certain lifestyle and energy given by citizens.

I biked around Paris, and took photos of famous monuments such as Opera Garnier, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Place Vendôme. Then, when I travelled with my friends and family in the south of France and Ibiza, I used the same film. I had the best time of my life with them.

PURPLE TEAM — What were your best and worst memories of the trip?
MIRA SAADALLAH — My best memory was in Cannes during the Film Festival. I had the opportunity to spend my days between the movie theater, the beach, restaurants and parties. I was amazed by the atmosphere in the theater. When films start, everyone claps during the opening credits, which is unusual when you go to your neighborhood movie theater. People are there because they love the art of cinema.
Honestly I didn’t have any bad memories of my trip, bad situations always turn out to be good.

PURPLE TEAM — What are your 3 Must-See sights?
MIRA SAADALLAH — In Paris you must visit The Modern art museum (MAM Paris), go to the Max Linder cinema and go for a walk at the Albert Kahn garden.

PURPLE TEAM — Any special restaurant, accommodation, or activity that you’d recommend?
MIRA SAADALLAH — Because food is everything I recommend :
