Estados by Bruno Ilogti

“Estados” is a film created by Bruno Ilogti and is inspired by a set of three paintings from the Italian painter Umberto Boccioni called “states of mind”. Starring model and actress Claudia Mason, “Estados” works around the idea of a modern state of mind being that as we are more connected to the world, we have constant feelings of emptiness and anxiety at the same time. Boccioni, in his work rejected the concept of continuity of space and time, he explained that he sought to create a ‘synthesis of what is remembered and what is seen’, of ‘that which moves and lives beyond the densities the traditional view of space, mixing elements of consciousness and reality in a single revolving image.

The soundtrack is a mix of italian musician Fillippo Tommaso Marinetti. Boccioni’s meeting with Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in late 1909 or early 1910 led him to make a more decisive break from traditional models. “the Manifesto dei pittori futuristi”, issued in the form of a pamphlet dated 11 February 1910, was signed by Boccioni, Carlo Carra, Luigi Russolo, Gino Severini and Giacomo Balla and declared the new movement for painting: Futurism.
