Julian Rosefeldt: Manifesto Interview by ACMI
Performed by Cate Blanchett, the cinematographic work “Manifesto” by acclaimed German artist Julian Rosefeldt is now on show at Hamburger Bahnhof Berlin. The award-winning actress recites the historical texts from famous manifestos by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Tristan Tzara, Kazimir Malevich, André Breton, Claes Oldenburg, Yvonne Reiner, Sturtevant, Adrian Piper, Sol LeWitt and Jim Jarmusch. The film documents the evolution of ideas and condenses revolutionary concepts in one picture that eventually turns into an ultimate “manifesto of manifestos”, representing the mindset of modern generation.
“Manifesto” is on show until November 6th at Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin.
