If there is a monumental work that stands out from sculptor Jean Dubuffet’s practice, it would unquestionably be the masterpiece that is the Closerie Falbala. Not only is it one of his most monumental works, but also the one which matters the most to him, to such a point that he built his own foundation next to it. He created it to shelter his Cabinet Logologique, a place he wanted to conserve exclusively for himself to meditate, think freely and peacefully about his work. Declared a Historical Monument in 1990, the Closerie Falbala remains nevertheless a secret and surprising place.
