Lost in Couture by Alessandro Possati

Purple TV presents “Lost in Couture” a movie by Alessandro Possati dedicated to the production of Roman couturier Renato Balestra. Promoted by Altaroma Altamoda, the video travels through the history of design, describing the emotional whirl that inspired his glorious creations. An itinerary between loliness and boredom, love, vanity, jealousy and rage. A dreamlike journey in roman couture that find its inspiration in the most representative items of the Balestra archive, between the 70’s and the 90’s. An ironic way to analyze the strong bond between Rome and Fashion, submerged in Fellian settings and Jean Paul Goude like atmosphere, as well as the suggestion of Pasolini’s Medea.
