Sky Ferreira stars in an unsettling art-house short film IRL, In Real Life. Angel, played by Ferreira, awakes from a godless night partying, left with strobing traces of memory. Brutally hungover, she notices dozens of missed phone calls from an unknown number and can’t shake the feeling that she’s being followed. When an acquaintance arrives and relays the rumor that a girl was impaled and shoved in front of a subway train, Angel fears she may have been with the victim during her final moments. Confronted with visions of the girl who died, Angel is reminded that nothing is ever as it seems in a city where everyone is a self-made avatar, and violence looms like a halo.
