“Not Like Other Girls” solo show by Marika Thunder at Hoffmann Maler Wallenberg, New York
The exhibition presents a new series of collages that explore how identity is constructed through images. Working with fragments drawn from mass media, Thunder creates figures that appear simultaneously familiar and fragmented, exposing the tensions between self-image, cultural stereotypes, desire, and representation.
