“As Seen Below” a new James Turrell permanent installation at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, Denmark
Turrell’s permanent installation is the artist’s largest Skyspace created within a museum, transforming light and the sky into the work’s primary materials. Entered through an underground passage, the monumental domed chamber frames the changing atmosphere above while immersive colour sequences alter visitors’ perception of space, creating a contemplative experience of light, architecture, and the natural world.
