Barb Choit’s solo exhibition at Rachel Uffner captures the faded signs and photographs of New York and reinterprets them for a gallery context. The results are documents of light and disappearing memories. Choit examines both the destruction of the photography medium by nature and the social implications of the areas where these images are located. Fade Diary is on view through December 23rd 2012 at Rachel Uffner, 47 Orchard Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
