The haunting dream world of Andro Wekua takes over Gladstone Gallery’s 24th Street space. To create his puzzling content, Wekua plays with scale, perspective and the surreal. The intentional obscurity is enhanced through the artist’s seductive color palette. The medium format painted works with broad brush strokes act as jarring counterparts to the meticulous house structures placed on pedestals through out the galleries. Each work is seemingly self-contained but ultimately create a cohesive exhibition. Dreaming Dreaming is on view through November 3rd 2012 at Gladstone Gallery, 515 West 24th Street, New York.
