“Religion” from the Black Country Stories series by Martin Parr
Multistory commissioned Martin Parr to create a photographic portrait and archive about everyday life in the Black Country (n area of the West Midlands in England) as part of the Black Country Stories series. Parr’s “Religion” is an insight into the religious rituals, weddings and religious festivals throughout the Black Country. The slideshows produced by The Space feature the photographers’ images complemented with ambient sounds and interviews with local people recorded by Julia Letts and volunteers from the Black Country.
