House of Waris presents You’re My Boo by Mick Rock
Designer & Actor, Waris Ahluwalia celebrates his enduring devotion to romance by launching a capsule jewelry collection entitled ‘Boo by HOUSE of WARIS‘.To celebrate the launch of the new collection, Waris asked several of his friends and collaborators to produce short films titled ‘You’re my Boo’. Artists including Mark Seliger, Olivier Zahm, John Forte, Mick Rock have all illustrated their own personal interpretations of the concept. The films will be released online leading up to February 14th.
The term ‘Boo’ is derived from the French ‘beau’ which originated in the 18th century and was used to describe a male admirer. The modern appropriation had lasted to serve as a term of endearment in a playful manner.
