“FEMMES” group exhibition curated by Pharrell Williams at Perrotin Paris
An expansive exhibition exploring Black womanhood through nearly 40 artists, “FEMMES” spans generations and mediums, weaving together textile, portraiture, and conceptual works that examine lineage, labor, and self-representation. Pharrell’s influence is subtle yet present, bridging pop culture and fine art while pushing visibility beyond tokenism. There’s both urgency and celebration here, expanding the dialogue between art, fashion, and music. More than just a showcase of talent, “FEMMES” is about shifting perspectives and creating space.
