Armani presents One Plus One by Luca Guadagnino

One plus One is a short film in a collaboration between Giorgio Armani and film director Luca Guadagnino to present the Giorgio Armani 2012 Spring/Summer Collection. Filmed in Mantua and Cremona and Lombardy, it tells the story of an unsettling love triangle. Luca Guadagnino takes inspiration from the films of Chantal Akerman and the soundtrack and cinematography reflect this influence. “Today, fashion needs to open itself to new languages,” says Giorgio Armani says of this piece “Cinema is the form of expression I have always felt the closest to. Working with Luca Guadagnino, I have had the opportunity to transform the atmosphere of my collection into a story, and it has been a stimulating experience.”

Luca Guadagnino, director of the 2009 film ‘Io sono l’amore’ (I Am Love) for which he received a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination, says. “Giorgio Armani’s extraordinary work has influenced my own sense of taste. To be able to “move” his clothes through this story of desire and suspense has been particularly meaningful to me.” The film stars Milou Van Groesen, Diego Fragoso, and Viniccius Sales.
