Vex, a Polaroid series by Anna Sampson
Tired of re-envisioning hyper-femme representations, British photographer Anna Sampson captures Vex, the boundary-pushing adult-film performer and creative force behind Four Chambers. For more than ten years, Four Chamber has provided a space for experimentation within the erotic, while exploring themes of technology, symbolism, mythology, alchemy, and their intersection with sexuality.
In this series of Polaroids, shot in an abandoned warehouse in central London, Sampson highlights the rawness of latex against an industrial setting. This series pays homage to the Northern UK heritage of both the photographer and the talent.
