KAWS and Erik Parker curate an exhibition at Paul Kasmin’s Gallery, new york

Erik Parker and KAWS, whose Companion (Passing Through) large-scale
outdoor sculpture is on view now at the entrance to the Standard Hotel
in New York, come together to present an exhibition entitled
Pretty on the Inside. Presenting seven American artists, the works are
visually disarming through color and content but rely on traditional
means including the still-life and portraiture. The jarring color
combinations or unconventional approaches to a particular medium
encourage viewers to reconsider beauty within an art historical
context.
