Arman the Collector at Paul Kasmin, New York
Arman’s collection of African art on display at Paul Kasmin creates a dialogue between the work of Arman as artist and the practice of Arman as collector. The late artist typically relied upon repetition of similar objects and themes confined to the space within his canvases. His private collection also revels in acquiring works across a similar shapes and style and unifying the objects in the process.
