For his third solo exhibition with Bortolami Gallery, the German artist Jonathan Meese offers viewers a glimpse into his candid and aggressive world as he navigates the role of an artist and man. The raw power of Meese‘s creations inflitrates the entire gallery space with as a mixed media explosion of sculpture, painting, photographs and wooden structures fights for viewers’ attention. Meese‘s work is a kind of personal revolution rejecting convention and using a visual language as his weapon. Hot Earl Green Sausage Tea Barbie (First Flush) is on view through 23rd December 2011 at the Bortolami Gallery, 520 W 20th Street, New York.
