A view of the architecture of the Renaissance Palacio de Buenavista home of the Museo Picasso, Málaga

Museo Picasso, located in painter’s hometown of Málaga, occupies the Renaissance Palacio de Buenavista. Raised for Diego de Cazalla in the 16th century, the palace is an example of traditional Andalusian architecture, from Platersque facades to octagonal pillars. With over 200 works on display, the museum’s collection incorporates Picasso’s early academic studies, as well as the cubist body of work.
