SELF HELP a film by Aaron Rose
Self-Help tells the story of a young couple, unhappy in their relationship, who decide to add some spice to their love life by bringing in a third lover. However, in the end, rather than satisfaction or novelty, they get much more than they bargained for. Part erotic fantasy, part therapy session, Self-Help reminds us that behind all of our facades lies the very basic need for true love. The story is semi-autobiographical and was shot over the course of one day in Berlin using vintage VHS cameras. The actors are friends of the filmmaker. The film will eventually play as a single chapter in a feature-length anthology to be released at a later date.
