Rick Owens S/S 2014 show with the steppers by Rick Owens
For the Rick Owens S/S 2014 show, Owens and his team imported stomping step groups, the Washington Divas, Soul Steppers, Momentum, and Zetas, from African-American college sororities to model for his Paris show. One of the most energetic and electric moments during Paris Fashion week, this show was a statement in showing the a collective spirit and bonding. “The spirit of competition that has us all band into tribes to compete. In friendly ways and vicious ways. Teams that might be exclusive or might be inclusive. Runway shows can be about improbable proposals- this is about working with what you have.”
