“Future Hymns” is the latest offering from Eola off a forthcoming, yet untitled album. The song casually recreates a cathartic, spiritual oasis for the soul. Choral vocals and organ mimicry take the listener into a heavenly place. Already one half of the boogie-psych-pop duo Tonstartssbandht, Eola is Edwin Mathis White, a solo project begun in March of 2010. The music is a soulful blend of multi-layered vocals, occasionally accompanied with swinging rhythms. Inspired by Eolas impassioned live performances in Brooklyn, director Brennan Lloyd became inspired to collaborate on a video offering. Juxtaposing footage shot at various aquariums and performance footage shot at a borrowed studio in New York’s Chinatown, he compliments this harmonic drone with a video connecting nature with the performer in a superimposed holy zone.
