BFI Film Festival highlights: Kate Plays Christine trailer by Robert Greene
A documentation of Kate Lyn Sheil‘s preparation for the new film confronts our ideas of what an actor’s life really looks like. Known for her roles in the House of Cards and The Girlfriend Experience, Sheil is about to play Christine Chubbuck – a Florida newscaster who committed suicide live-on air in 1974. Digging deep into her role, the film reveals how the actress becomes obsessed with her subject.
