[October 12 2012]
The first New York exhibition of Takeshi Murata reveals the artist’s interest in using the visual language of the digital gaming world to create hyper-realistic imagery. The resulting medium format works are void of people and leave only the remnants of an unknown narrative in their place. The show also includes a video collaboration with Billy Reid designed to blur abstraction, content and pattern. Synthesizers is on view through October 20th 2012 at Salon 94, 243 Bowery, New York.
