Olivier Zahm on the chauffeuse of Mademoiselle Chanel’s private appartement on the rue Cambon. Chanel was so happy with the portrait Horst did of her in this large chair that she most likely gave it to the photographer. In 1983 Karl Lagerfeld found the chauffeuse by accident at an auction in Monaco and had to bring it back to its proper place.
