The Swiss Institute’s Gianni Jetzer curates Metro Pictures Gallery’s new playful summer exhibition entitled Dogma. As the title suggests, the exhibition explores the relationship of man and dog throughout history and its most recent intepretations in art. The show, which includes works by Jack Goldstein, Martin Kippenberger and Allora/Caadilla, also serves as a reminder of the late great Art Historian Robert Rosenblum, whose writings and lectures often included this recurring theme of the dog in art. On view through August 10th 2012 at Metro Pictures, 519 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
