For his new solo exhibition at Metro Pictures artist Jim Shaw continues the narrative about the fictional religion he created called Oism. Shaw’s show functions as an operatic performance complete with stage props and sets. Small scale comic book pages through the galleries help to illustrate Shaw’s eccentric and progressive vision. On view through April 21st 2012 at Metro Pictures, 519 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
