“I am opening this exhibition, Traveling light, at a time when no one travels. But there is always means of transportation, and I think painting is very much one of them.”—Harold Ancart
Belgian-born, Brooklyn–based artist takes us on a tour of his newest exhibition at David Zwirner’s 525 & 533 West 19th Street locations in New York. This marks Ancart’s second solo show with the gallery following his 2018 debut in London.
One gallery space is dedicated to “the forest,” a series of paintings inspired by a drive through the French countryside and the other features two massive triptychs that portray ocean and mountain landscapes.
On display, now, until October 17.
