L’Etoile De Mer 1928 by MAN RAY
This beautiful film by Man Ray (Star of the Sea) is a significant piece from the surrealist movement – filmed in 1928. The film stars Kiki of Montparnasse, Andre de la Riviere and Robert Desnos. The story is a fantasy tale in which as if in a dream a couple walk a country-lane, enter a sensual moment together which end with the woman giving the man a gift of a star fish in a jar…ending in a man reflecting on his lost love and her residing beauty reminded by the l’etoile de mer.
