JAW & Seuil / Salted Faces by Benkoro Sangare
Purple TV presents the exclusive premiere of JAW & Seuil’s “Salted Faces” directed by Benkoro Sangare and edited Toumani Sangare, who in 1995 created with Romain Gavras and Kim Chapiron the Kourtrajme Productions. The track is taken from the upcoming release by JAW “Midtown”, with gathers nineteen tracks from nineteen prolific producers including Claude Vonstroke, Brodinski, Cassius and Art Department. As the frontman of French house wildcards dOP and their indie-pop side-project, Les Fils du Calvaire, JAW has blossomed into one of the most distinctive performers in a scene. For his first video from the album, JAW saw footage by Benkoro Sangare and thought it gelled well with his track Salted Faces. The footage captures the rising of the Coup d’Etat in Mali in 2012.
