The palatial fortification Alcazaba lays at the feet of the Gibralfaro hill in Málaga. The 11th century building was destined for defensive purposes, but it has kept high esthetical value. An intersection of Roman, Arab and Renaissance architecture, Alcazaba features beautiful rectangular patios, fountains and surrounding gardens.
