“Tom’s Stretch” is currently on view at David Kordansky Gallery in Los Angeles
Bringing together works by more than seventy artists alongside Tom of Finland, the exhibition traces the lasting influence of his radical vision of the body and queer identity. Paintings, photography, sculpture, drawing, and archival material explore desire, fantasy, liberation, and the evolving representation of gender and sexuality across generations, with works by artists including Robert Mapplethorpe, Cindy Sherman, Doron Langberg, Salman Toor, Huma Bhabha, and Matthew Barney.
