More than a group exhibition, Diary Face feels like an optimistic portrait of a young New York and Brooklyn art scene creating its own future. Curated by Annabelle Weatherly and Victoria Walter, the downstairs gallery at Sitting Room brings together a new generation of 30 artists whose works move effortlessly between diary, performance, painting, poetry, drawing, and installation. Together, they form a vibrant community where friendship becomes both an artistic connexion and a form of anti-capitalist self-defense. Bound together by Weatherly’s ritual sigils, the exhibition transforms the gallery into a collective spell—an affirmation of an artistic alternative that, sooner or later, will shape its own path.
