In Taxi zur Kunst, Spichtig turns the group portrait into a kind of ghostly lineup of muses. His paintings, steeped in melancholic glamour and portraying warped figures, capture the leftover energy of nightlife and turn it into a weirdly beautiful take on what it means to look and be seen.
