Leonora Carrington “The Symptomatic Surreal” exhibition at The Freud Museum, London
Rare works from 1938–1941 centre on Carrington’s confinement in a Spanish sanatorium, expressing psychological crisis through surreal, myth-infused imagery. Shown alongside Freud’s antiquities, they reveal shared themes of displacement, the unconscious, and myth as a means of understanding upheaval.
