Artist Ted Riederer turns music into a visual language and examines the psychology of objects and materials. For his exhibition at The Lodge Gallery, Riederer offers a provocative selection of paintings alongside sculpture, assemblage and photography. With the flaming guitars depicted in Your Love Is Never Going to Survive The Heat Of My Heart, the artist suggests the transformative power of inanimate objects to represent univesral emotional states. Only Forever is on view through September 21st 2013 at The Lodge Gallery, 131 Chrystie Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
