Jeanloup Sieff, one of the most reknowned photographers of his time, photographed some of the most beautiful women and men of his era. This collection of his work captures some of his most famous photographs spanning a career of nearly forty years, 1960-2000. These nudes and fashion shots portray more than beautiful bodies draped, or not, with beautiful clothes; Sieff’s personal interest in whatever lay before his camera, and his continually evolving style, render these photographs pieces of art. Sieff was never afraid to take chances with location, equipment, lighting, or convention. The monograph features texts from his favourite models, such as Catherine Deneuve and Charlotte Rampling, as well as essays by Purple’s very own Olivier Zahm. The book is out now and available to buy here.
