[June 7 2016]
Artist Paul McCarthy sat down on Saturday June 4th to sign copies of his new, revised and expanded edition of his classic Phaidon monograph. Originally released in 1996 as the first comprehensive survey of over 20 years of work by a profoundly influential artist, the revised and expanded edition of Paul McCarthy is the most complete monograph on McCarthy’s work to date.
Documenting 20-plus years of creative practice, Paul McCarthy offers essays by Ralph Rugoff, Kristine Stiles, Giacinto Di Pietrantonio and Robert Storr that identify common currents in McCarthy’s work, in addition to previously unpublished notes and poems toward sculptures, performances and videos by McCarthy himself.
