“The photos were shot in Ishigaki, one of the southern most islands off the Japanese mainline a quixotic mix of tradition and emerald oceanic colours, we stayed in a beautiful Ryokun this I could highly recommend which became the perfect backdrop for the story and Genevieve’s pieces which lent themselves to appearing as found ancient objects we had discovered whilst on our travels. Top tip – don’t pick up the big leaves turns out they are poisonous!”
