Last days of “To Think of The Tranquil Life of Things” by Jordan Roth on view in Paris

Jordan Roth presents a magnificent artistic installation in a unique Parisian hôtel particulier, transforming the space into a dreamlike, almost ghostly world.

Inspired by leaving his home of fifteen years, Roth photographed himself wearing clothes that reflected different moments of his life, seated on the furniture that had surrounded him. These self-portraits were then printed onto textiles and draped over the same pieces, turning familiar objects into sculptural works charged with memory.

The entire apartment becomes a phantasmagorical environment, where Roth’s face, body, and extravagant looks seem to float through the rooms, merging with the furniture and decoration in a light, magical atmosphere. His presence is everywhere, yet remains strangely elusive.

Known for his extraordinary ability to reinvent himself through the most eccentric couture creations, Roth is becoming a truly Warholian artist. Rather than simply elevating fashion into art, he uses both as instruments of permanent metamorphosis, transforming his own image, identity, and dream lifestyle into an ever-evolving artistic creation.

On view until October 25th at 72 Rue de l’Université in Paris, in partnership with Design Miami & Salon 94 Design
