[May 20 2013]
Artists JR and Jose Parla take their recent collaboration The Wrinkles of the City from the streets to Bryce Wolkowitz’s 24th Street gallery. In 2012, both men traveled to Cuba to interview residents and create works of art that tell stories accesible to the public. JR’s sincere and honest black and white portraits capture each sitter’s personality while Parla’s narrative of Cuba reads through shape, color and form. On view through July 12th 2013 at Bryce Wolkowitz, 505 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
