Joan Baez is Alive is the latest exhibition by New York artist Marc Hundley. On view now at Team Gallery, Hundley conceives a partly fictitious history by appropriating 1960’s and 70’s art, music and film references. The fabricated advertisements reveal Hundley’s personal relationships with figures of the era while the viewer responds to familiar imagery and sentiments. Joan Baez is Alive runs until 29 October 2011 at Team Gallery. Text and photo Juliana Balestin
