“Would you ever go to space if you were offered the opportunity?” As I watched the rockets launch humanity to the moon for the first time in 50 years, I couldn’t help wondering what it would be like to leave the earth.
What do I hope to find out there?
Drifting aimlessly in microgravity, processing my existence while surrounded by permanent dusk. The cold, sterile capsule and the complex machinery keep me alive, confined with only my thoughts. As the blue marble shrinks into the distance, I look upon a land without borders and those who inhabit it.
How do I fit into the bigger picture? Eventually, everything fades away.
