A bold fusion of pop aesthetics and societal critique unfolds in a fragmented dystopian landscape. Neon suns glow above shattered terrains, glittering epoxy diamonds enclose nostalgic trinkets, and insect-like bronze figures evoke a surreal, unsettling future. Inspired by 1990s consumer culture and today’s global crises, “Solar System” confronts themes of collapse and resilience with an arresting mix of beauty and decay. Kjær plays with intricate details and humorous yet haunting contrasts draw viewers into a visceral exploration of destruction and creation, challenging perceptions of a world on the brink and the possibilities of what might emerge from its ruins.
