David Shrigley’s paintings and drawings capture a world of child-like wonderment. For his solo exhibition at Anton Kern, the artist relies of broad lines and bold colors to enhance the snippets of text which fall somewhere between enlightened and absurd. Additionally, the dense grid installation format works well to support Shirgley’s interest in a variety of subjects related to modern existence. On view through May 23rd 2015 at Anton Kern, 532 West 20th Street, New York.
