BATHING IN BUDAPEST
Julia Laird took pictures during her trip to Budapest at the thermal baths using her 35mm camera.
“I was fortunate to spend most of Easter in the geothermal pools in Budapest. These pools are incredible for fostering a sense of community. Multiple generations of families come together, friends gather, first dates take place, and people of all ages congregate to enjoy bathing. It was a fantastic opportunity for people-watching, and I couldn’t resist capturing those moments with my camera. I particularly loved observing people playing chess by the poolside and spotting tattoos.”
The series of photos will be exhibited in London at Drifter Galleries during the weekend of July 8th and 9th, 2023, located at 51 Lonsdale Road, Queens Park, NW6 6RA.
