Kruger’s first major Scandinavian exhibition, transforms ARoS Aarhus Art Museum and the city of Aarhus itself into a critical, immersive art experience. Renowned for her bold text-and-image juxtapositions, Kruger interrogates power, gender, capitalism, and media influence through iconic works like Untitled (I shop therefore I am) and new site-specific installations. The exhibition integrates public spaces, such as the Aarhus Lightrail, blurring lines between art and daily life. Customised to ARoS’ architecture, Kruger’s commanding pieces—spanning video, sound, and vinyl—foster urgent societal reflection, affirming her relevance in tackling enduring inequalities and systemic critique.
